football

Dear Maquoketa Families

As we approach the home football games this season, we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending. To achieve this goal, I wanted to remind everyone about our activity expectations at Goodenow Field

  • Family Zone on the Hill: The hill area closest to the main gate entrance is designated as a family zone, allowing parents and families to sit together and enjoy the games in a comfortable setting.

  • Middle School Section: A specific area will be marked off on the hill for all middle school students. This will help ensure they have a safe and designated place to gather during the games. If students are on the hill they are expected to sit and watch the game. If students are not following expectations they will be asked to sit with parents or leave the field.

  • High School Student Section: High school students are encouraged to sit in the designated student section or in other areas of the bleachers. This helps maintain organization and supervision.

  • K-5 Student Supervision: Students in grades K-5 must sit with their parents. This measure emphasizes the importance of supervision and safety for our younger students.

We appreciate your support in helping us create a positive and secure environment at our home football games. We will also review these expectations with students tomorrow at school. Together, we can make this a great experience for our students and families!

A reminder Maquoketa School District has implemented an online ticketing system for ALL activities starting with our home football game. Spectators will need to purchase tickets via Bound for all home events and away conference games. If using cash, no change will be given at home events. A reminder that each individual online pass is only valid for one person. Once the pass is used, it cannot be used or "passed" to another spectator. For those students who do not have phones or would like it printed, the QR code can be printed. The QR code remains the same for each event; however, it is deactivated after it is used at each event and then reactivated shortly before the next home event. Thank You for your patience as we implement this system tomorrow night.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Tara Notz, Superintendent
