The Maquoketa Community School District invites all community members to an open work session and public comment period scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9th, from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Maquoketa Middle School cafeteria. This session will focus on discussing the grade alignment configurations of our Elementary and Middle School Buildings, specifically the location of 5th grade.
The evening will begin with tours of the Middle School from 5:30-6:00 PM, providing an opportunity for attendees to familiarize themselves with the facilities. Following the tours, Superintendent Notz will deliver a presentation at 6:00 PM outlining the details and considerations of the grade alignment configurations. This will be followed by a public comment period, where community members are encouraged to share their thoughts and feedback.
We encourage the public to attend this important session to learn more about the diligent work completed by our facilities committee and to gain a deeper understanding of the facilities and planning process at Maquoketa Community School District. Your input is important as we strive to make informed decisions that best serve our students and community.
All are welcome to attend. We look forward to your participation and to fostering a collaborative discussion about the future of our schools.
Tara Notz, Superintendent
Maquoketa Community School District
