History was made tonight as our Maquoketa Girls Basketball Team captured the first state title in program history. This moment belongs to our girls and coaches who have worked so hard for so many years, dreaming of this day! Congratulations, we are so proud of all of your accomplishments and absolutely love watching your talent, grit and belief that you will fight to the end!
This moment also belongs to the families, students, staff and community members who have helped to pave the way. Generations of "Iowa Girls" have built the foundation for tonight. When the stars align, it reminds us of the greatness of our students, our schools and our community. Way to go girls and way to go Maquoketa. You should all be so proud of who you are, where you come from and for moments like this. I know I am!! Superintendent Notz ❤️
