Each grade level can participate in Powderpuff Football on Tuesday, September 30 at 7:00 PM at the practice football field at MHS. You can order a shirt without participating. Come and join in the fun!

Some juniors and seniors from the high school took a visit to Kirkwood Community College with Mrs. McLaughlin. They learned about programs, admissions, student life and more! Students toured campus and had the opportunity to speak with current students. Any juniors or seniors who want to go on college visits, stop into the counseling office.

Bree Arensdorf came to talk with our class about her career as an athletic trainer and provided students with an opportunity to test their taping skills .

Join in on the Homecoming fun this year!

Join in on the Homecoming fun this year!

We are excited for our first home football game this Friday, August 29th vs. Anamosa. Please review our Activities Expectations. Students 5th grade and younger are expected to sit with their family members (5th grade will continue to sit with their family even though they are in Middle School). In addition, once students enter they need to remain in Goodenow. Students will not be able to reenter the event if they leave, unless the are with an adult.
Thank You for your support as we work to make this a fun and safe event for everyone!

Tomorrow is the first day of school and we are so excited to welcome back all students, staff and families for the new school year! Tomorrow, Monday, August 25th is an early out. Please review the following times for your specific building:
Cardinal: 1:10 pm dismissal
Briggs: 1:10 pm dismissal
Middle School: 1:20 pm (walkers/car riders), 1:25 (bus riders)
High School: 1:30
These times will be the same times that apply to all Friday early outs also. A gentle reminder, to please be patient and give grace to staff, bus drivers and families as navigating pick-up and drop-off can always be a little challenging these first few days. Specifically, if you have a student at Briggs, Middle School or riding the Cardinal/Briggs shuttle please review the information that was provided regarding pick-up and drop-off locations.
Thank You,
Superintendent Notz
