Boys wrestling hit the mat at home tonight at the High School. Start time of 5:30 with wrestlers from Maquoketa, Camanche, Regina Catholic & Tipton all hitting the mat. Be sure to come show our boys your support!


Let's fill the stand Cards! Boys & Girls both will hit our home court tonight Tuesday, January 21st against the Anamosa Raiders. Girls gets things started with JV starting at 4:30 in the west gym and Varsity starting at 6:00 in the main gym. Boys will follow with JV at 6:00 in the west gym and varsity at 7:45.


School Cancelled for Tuesday, January 21st
Due to our area being updated to an extreme cold warning until noon, school will be cancelled on Tuesday, January 21st. This will be our first day of Virtual Learning:
Elementary Students: Please complete the "Day 1" packet sent home during conferences.
Middle & High School Students: Complete assignments posted by your teachers on Canvas. If you have questions, contact your teachers via school email or through Rooms.
At this time, high school basketball games and practices are still scheduled for tomorrow evening, as the weather advisory is expected to end by noon. Middle school practices are cancelled for tomorrow. We will provide updates if plans change.

Bree Arensdorf talked to the Intro to Health Careers class about her job as the athletic trainer. Students got the opportunity to test their skills at ankle taping.






Maquoketa CSD will have a 2 Hour Delay on Tuesday, January 21st 2025. We will continue to monitor to determine if this may change to a cancellation. A reminder that if school is cancelled, we will implement our first virtual learning day. Please review your email for virtual day learning reminders.

Cardinal Girls will be playing against Iowa City Liberty on our home court. JV will get things going at 5:00 pm with Varsity to follow at 6:30 pm. Our Cardinal girls have been on FIRE! You definitely do not want to miss out on this action. See you in the stands Cards!


Boys JV & Varsity are both off this Saturday, January 18 to hit the mat. JV will be heading to Independence with a start time of 9:00 am . Varsity will head to Marion to participate in the Loyd Shaffer Invitational with start time of 9:30 am. Good Luck to both JV and Varsity!


Large Group Speech Conference today, Saturday, January 18th in Wellman at Mid-Prairie High School. Good Luck to all our Cardinal contestants.


Congratulations to Caroline Otting, Mia Ruley, Chloe Leon and Matthew Kula for being chosen for the Dorian Honor Choir at Luther College. 900 students from Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri came together to perform on Monday, Jan. 13th on campus.




Congratulations to Amelia Ruley for being chosen to sing the National Anthem at State Wrestling. This is Mia's 2nd year in a row being chosen for this honor. She will be singing for Session 1 of Dual Team Wrestling at 9am on Feb. 8th. Way to go!


Our girl wrestlers will hit the road to Wellman to Mid Prairie High School for the Mid - Prairie Girls Wrestling Invitational. Girls will hit the mat at 4:45 pm.
