Maquoketa Students and Families,
Congratulations on reaching the last day of the '23/'24 school year! I hope you can celebrate everything your student has accomplished and all they ways they've grown this year! Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you in August!

Maquoketa Families,
We have a full day of school tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29th in order to ensure we meet our school hour requirement for the year. The last day of school is Thursday, May 30th. This is also a full day of school.

Join us for the Maquoketa CSD Graduation Ceremony today at 2:00 pm at the Maquoketa High School Gym. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be live streamed on the Maquoketa CSD Facebook Page. Let's celebrate the achievements of our graduates together! 🎓🎉

The Music on the Move squad from the Middle School 'moved' the staff of HyVee Fresh on Wednesday by performing some upbeat music for them and their customers. Thank you to Jim Armbrecht for all you do to support our schools!

Students are resuming their normal schedule. Thank you to our bus drivers, and all staff for keeping kids safe and calm.

Maquoketa Families,
We are implementing all of our tornado protocols until the tornado warning passes. If your student has not been picked up on the bus we will wait until after the storm passes.

6th grade Social Studies classes held an Ancient Maya Culture Fair today after school. Students researched a topic. They wrote paragraphs about the claim, evidence, and reasoning. Then they created a slideshow, tri-fold board, and a craft or activity for guests. They did a great job!

I hope you are all safe after the storm. We will have school as normal today. If you need staff to be aware of any situation regarding your student and effects of the storm (ex. damage at your home), please reach out to your child's teacher or principal.

Maquoketa Families,
All after school events/games will be cancelled for this evening, Tuesday, May 21st due to the potential of severe weather. The After School Program at Briggs will also be cancelled for tonight. Thank You.
