Hello Cardinal Elementary Families,
Just a reminder that today is a virtual learning day. Please reach out to your teacher(s) if you have questions. Packets went home on January 18th. Virtual learning days will count as attendance days for your child so remember to have students return the "must do" assignments on Day 1 of their virtual learning packet to their classroom teacher when we return to school.
Warm regards,
Sara Bennis
Cardinal Elementary Principal

Temps were too cold to be outside for recess, but the 2nd graders didn't mind staying in and playing some new activities with their friends!

Mrs. Johnson's class loves practicing their math facts on 99math. They have set a goal to reach as a class and have been so close to reaching it! They love a good challenge!

2nd Grade business partners, Maquoketa State Bank visited today and taught us all about the dime. We counted various amounts of dimes and mixed coins. Our students learned:
•Franklin D. Roosevelt is the president on the dime
•He was the 32nd president
•a dime's value is 10 cents
•it takes 10 dimes to make $1
•looked at what year each dime was made

Hello Cardinal Elementary Families,
This is a friendly reminder to please be respectful of neighboring driveways during drop-off and pick-up times. We understand that the line can get long as students safely get to vehicles. Please be aware of driveways and avoid blocking any driveway at these times. We greatly appreciate your understanding.
Warm Regards,
Sara Bennis
