Hello Cardinal Elementary Families,
I wanted to send out a reminder about the upcoming Family Bingo Night coming up on Thursday, November 7th. There will be lots of great food and fun provided by our Cardinal Staff and Parent Lighthouse Team. We are excited to share more information about our Leader in Me Program and collaborate with families. Every student who attends will get a free stuffed animal and book with opportunities to win door prizes and family games to play at home. I'm also including a link (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdBee4Gv-06Xn2jhp204s_1VO2AyS3_B9QHQhzIbkYIjfRdgg/viewform?usp=sf_link) for the sign-up. You may also call the school and let Kaitlyn know how many will be attending and she can sign you up. I know there are several activities going on that night so if you can only make it for some of the time, that is okay too. We are planning for plenty of food and dessert! Thank you for your continued support and collaboration.
Warm regards,
Sara Bennis
Cardinal Elementary Principal

We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week next week at Cardinal Elementary. This year’s theme is “Life Is A Movie, Film Drug Free”. We will celebrate Red Ribbon Spirit Week with dress up days during this special week! This week promotes drug prevention and awareness in a mission to keep kids drug-free! In elementary school, we talk about what type of choices are healthy for our body and what choices are not healthy. Red Ribbon Week is meant to bring awareness to the devastating effects of alcohol, tobacco, and drug use. It is a way for communities to show that they are taking a stand against drugs. The symbol of a Red Ribbon has been around since 1985 to symbolize a commitment to a drug-free America. Red Ribbon Week is celebrated nationwide October 23-October 31. October is also Safe Schools Month, as well as Bullying Prevention Month. Please partner with us and discuss this message at home, at the dinner table, at family outings, and with friends and extended family. Let’s take this week to celebrate and teach students about making safe and healthy choices for their minds and bodies!
